The Community Seafood Exchange (CSFx) was conceived at the 2016 Local Seafood Summit as a place to address imbalances in supply and demand of local seafood. 

CSFx facilitates connections between fishermen & other suppliers and CSFs, markets, restaurants & institutional buyers of seafood.  CSFx operates in the following way:

•  fishermen & other suppliers who have more catch than their local markets can consume create For Sale listings
• CSFs, markets, restaurants and institutional buyers needing seafood for their customers create Wanted listings

All listings are anonymous, and buyers and sellers connect with one another by tapping the Buy or Sell buttons associated with a listing.

CSFx is a Free Service and is exclusively available as the Seafood Exchange in the FishLine Mobile App.

How to begin using CSFx in a minute:

1.  Download the FishLine mobile app at FishLine.me 
   • or Update your current FishLine app version to 4.1.x
2. Tap on the Seafood Exchange
3. Register your business as a Buyer, Seller or Both
4. Tap on Add Seafood for Sale or Wanted and create a listing
5.  Tap on Exchange Listings
6.  Tap the Buy or Sell buttons on listings you are interested in
   • Your contact info is sent to the Buyer or Seller so that they can contact you

FishLine is proud to offer another free service for our hard-working fishermen.  CSFx is free to use and there are no commissions.  CSFx merely facilitates communication between interested parties.  Those parties are required to comply with all applicable regulations.  Neither FishLine nor Phondini takes an interest in any transaction.  We collect usage analytics in order to provide metrics as part of future grant proposals to improve CSFx. We keep the contact information of registered users private unless they engage in Buy or Sell communications.
